About The Project

Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands. For this project, I knew I wanted to make a personalized boxed set for them that introduces a new perspective on their music. The series is called “Into The Prism” and it narratively details the struggles of mental health, addiction, and transcending past those problems. Considering the iconic prism imagery from their most famous album The Dark Side of the Moon, the prism helps gauge multiple perspectives in this story. The meaning of the albums is depicted through very calculated colorways that bring out a certain ambience that reflects the mood of each album. Experimental typography is explored through combining it with the refracted light rays that are seen when shining through a prism. The boxed set contains one catalog, three vinyl record albums titled In The Flesh, In The Brain, and In The Soul, and the black-stained box engraved with “Into The Prism” on it.
